The SMO Biopole Clermont-Limagne brings together the 2 local authorities involved in the sites of the Biopole Clermont-Limagne:

  • The Riom Limagne and Volcan Community of Communes (Saint-Beauzire and Riom sites),
  • Clermont-Auvergne Métropole (Clermont-Ferrand site),

and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Puy-de-Dôme.

The SMO is in charge of the real estate assets and marketing. It also takes care of the science park duties:  "coordination", "promotion" and support to businesses.

The financing and governance of the Biopole Clermont-Limagne are shared between the 3 members of the association. They come together on a Committee which decides and settles the matters of the SMO through its deliberations.
