Inauguration of the new Carbogen AMCIS production unit on the Biopôle Clermont-Limagne.
On Friday, February 3, CARBOGEN AMCIS launched the inaugural ceremony of its new production unit based on the Biopôle Clermont-Limagne site in Saint-Beauzire.
Many employees and representatives of the CARBOGEN group AMCIS worldwide, partners, suppliers but also representatives of the State and local authorities were gathered to celebrate the completion of this major investment project for the territory.
The new production site will be dedicated to the manufacture of injectable products. CARBOGEN AMCIS will produce both clinical and commercial batches, its experts being able to work with different types of active ingredients for a worldwide customer base.
Built on a plot of more than 14,000 m2 in the heart of the Clermont-Limagne Biopôle in Saint-Beauzire, the two-storey building will have required more than 2 years of work and 45 million investments with 9,500 m2 of equipment, including a large area of R&D and quality control laboratories and a production area with two aseptic filling lines under insulators at the cutting edge of technology and unique in Europe. While the qualifications of the various equipment are underway, the launch of the first productions is scheduled for the first quarter of 2023.
Over the past two years, the company has created more than 80 jobs directly related to the creation of this new production site.
